When does a picture turn into art? The answer lies in the frame.
Although frames have always been on the perimeter of art, they’ve never received a lot of recognition themselves. So let’s give them the attention they deserve.
ActiVATION: Frames in The wild
To prove that anything can be art once it’s framed, we will put all sorts of frames out in the wild in NYC. We’ll place the frames in front of park benches, landmarks, and other picturesque places in the city. People can use a photo timer button on the frame to take a picture in it, and then send it to themselves by inputting their info.
If they click consent, the pictures will feed into a live digital billboard in Times Square.
